The 26th of March 2005 was the launch of a huge and fundamental change in Darya’s performing style. This change is a fresh movement and renovation to Afghan concert industry, in general. This out-door event was the celebration of the Afghan New Year of 1384. A crowd of larger than 10000 fans came together from around the States. That night, Darya sang three hours non-stop. His voice could hardly be recognized amongst his keen and excited fans who screamed non-stop with Darya. His outfit, movements, and his stage looked and sounded younger, livelier, more vivacious, energetic, and spirited than ever. Darya was up-to-date and appeared younger than his past performances.
He was surrounded by his cheerful fans that were standing all night long. Everybody was trying to get closer to him and shake or touch his hands. Young generations of boys, girls and even kids had special and hush-hush gifts for him, and wanted to hand them over to him personally. One had a necklace in hand … the other had a sapphire ring … one had a hair fillet … the other had a wallet in hand… Everyone had brought Darya something, from a candy to a rose, a postcard … or a visit card … During this touching festivity, Darya did not forget the rest of the children of Afghanistan who are in the country. He inspired and moved his fans to support “Children of War” humanitarian organization, he donated to this organization from his pocket as well.
