The International Afghan Women Center Organization had officially launched in participation of many Afghan, Iranian, and Swedish scholars, intellectuals, poets, writers, artists, correspondents, and people of Gothenburg to support Afghan women. Farhad Darya was the first speaker of the night. Darya, who was supposed to fly to Stockholm for a concert right after his speech, missed his flight because of his fans’ enthusiasm and fervor. They surrounded him and didn’t let him go after he stepped down from the stage. He stayed that day in Gothenburg for his fans, and took a new flight to Stockholm the next morning. Fans are always Darya’s priority. |
